//Socially Distanced Wedding// What a treat to be able to post some actual, real wedding images! This year (2020) has been a tough one to say the least. COVID-19 and everything that comes with it has taken it’s toll on the wedding industry and what a travesty that is. I had SO many awesome weddings lined up and it’s shocked me to the core that ALL of them have been affected by the pandemic that we continue to live through. Postponements and, sadly, some cancellations is not what I thought 2020 had in store for Amy B Photography.

This said, I had one lovely couple who were absolutely determined not to let Covid get in the way of their tying the knot this year. This is Ellie and Alex’s story. They had intended on having an all-singing-all-dancing wedding celebration in May at the incredible Owen House Wedding Barn in Knutsford. Then BANG .. lockdown hit in March and their awesome wedding plans for May went out the window. Not knowing how long lockdown life would affect us all for they ploughed ahead with their wedding plans and postponed to September 2020. We all know what happened next right!? The summer arrives and Covid is STILL here taking it’s toll on wedding planning for all my lovely wedding couples. Far from ideal to say the least! However, determined to get hitched in the year they had originally intended, Ellie and Alex took the plunge and went ahead with organising a ‘scaled down’, socially distanced version of their wedding. It was incredible to dust off the camera and spend the day doing what I do best .. capturing the love and laughter of a wedding day. There may have been a few more rules and regulations to follow but it was an incredible day shared by their nearest and dearest. They had a live feed going out to Australia and America so that their relatives who couldn’t make it could be there via the likes of Zoom etc. Technology is genius!

Below is just a tiny taster of how it all unfolded. I look forward to Ellie and Alex’s wedding part two in May 2021 when they will enjoy the full wedding day they had intended to have back in May 2020. It will be well worth the wait!
