Orchardleigh House Wedding

When Paige and Jerad began planning their wedding, they knew they wanted somewhere with character and charm. Also somewhwre that provided enough space to bring their families together for a full weekend of celebrations. Orchardleigh House in Somerset ticked every box. From the stunning backdrop of the English countryside for their ceremony to the elegant ballroom for their wedding breakfast.

The Morning Preparations

The day began inside Orchardleigh House itself, with Paige and her bridal party getting ready in one of the spacious suites overlooking the grounds. The natural light and historic details made it the perfect backdrop for those candid “getting ready” photos. Meanwhile, Jerad and his groomsmen enjoyed a relaxed morning in one of the old gatehouses. Both settings absolutely incredible backdrops for getting ready.

First Look and The Ceremony

This lovely couple decided to opt for a first look. They also made time to privately say their personal vows to eachother whilst no prying eyes or listening ears were around. It was such a special moment for me to witness this and hear (albeit at a distance) how much love this pair feel for oneanother.

Orchardleigh also offers civil ceremonies inside the house or outdoors in the gardens. Giving plenty of flexibility depending on your style and preferences. Paige and Jerad were blessed with a fine, sunny September day so utilising the picturesque backdrop for their ceremony was an absolute must.

Couple Portraits & Reception

Orchardleigh House offers endless photo opportunities. Paige and Jerad made time for portraits all over the estate. This included candid shots in the gardens and some elegant images inside the house too. Orchardleigh’s combination of stunning architecture and natural beauty provided us a multitude of the most perfect backdrops. This was made all the more impressive when Paige and Jerad decided to bring in a hot air balloon too. Such a fabulous thing to bring in to keep their guests entertained during the drinks reception.

Wedding Breakfast in the Ballroom

After the drinks reception and a few rides up in the hotair balloon, guests took their seats the grand ballroom for the wedding breakfast. Under the grand chandeliers, the most beautiful flowers adroned the tables. Serviettes were raised high above everyone’s heads as Paige and Jerad entered and this set the tone for the rest of their celebrations.

For part two, there were Espresso Martinis served alongside late night ice cream. Then this gorgeous couple’s first dance brought all the energy for their guests. The saxophonist was the icing on the cake and everyone partied hard, long into the night.
