//Nice Wedding Photography// My ‘job’ (if you can really call it that!) takes me all over the UK and, on the odd occasion, I get to go further afield overseas. I get to go on a plane (which is always a bit exciting!), camera in hand and share in wedding days with couple’s who choose to tie the knot in a completely different country. Lucky doesn’t even cut it! Holly and Charlie contacted me last year and as soon as we got into the nitty gritty I knew their destination wedding was going to be pretty spectacular; and spectacular it was!
I travelled out to Nice the day before their wedding to join them for some pre wedding drinks and to get to know everyone. I immediately felt right at home and the Friday evening set the tone for the following day. The Hotel Negresco provided the most incredible backdrop for bridal prep along with their wedding ceremony. I remember Holly and Charlie describing their ceremony room to me before I travelled out but nothing could prepare me for what I found when I arrived. The Versailles room is possibly one of the most beautiful settings I’ve ever had the pleasure of shooting; with it’s ornate detailing, rich colours and renaissance artwork adorning the walls, I fell in love immediately!
Drinks reception served and a few couple shots under our belt at Hotel Negresco, everyone took a stroll down The Promenade des Anglais and headed over to Neptune Plage for part two. A beachfront restaurant/bar by day, it was transformed into a gorgeous wedding reception for the second part of Holly and Charlie’s destination wedding. Fun speeches, delicious food, a glitter bar, great music and all with the Mediterranean Sea as a backdrop .. it was BLISS! This was one pretty epic wedding party and I loved every second!
