There’s something undeniably magical about weddings in Puglia. Perhaps it’s the golden light that dances across ancient olive groves, the scent of citrus carried on the warm breeze, or the effortless blend of rustic charm and Italian elegance. At Masseria San Michele, all of those elements came together beautifully for a wedding celebration bursting with colour, personality, and joy.
From the very beginning, this wedding felt like a celebration of life itself. Beanie and Surma embraced bold tones, playful textures, and an atmosphere designed entirely around bringing people together. Set against the white stone walls and timeless architecture of the masseria, every vibrant detail felt even more striking.
A Ceremony Surrounded by Olive Groves
The ceremony took place outdoors beneath the Puglian sunshine, framed by centuries-old olive trees. Rows of chairs lined with bright florals created an aisle overflowing with colour — vivid blooms combined with citrus fruit that looked as though they had grown naturally from the landscape itself. STUNNING!
The contrast between the crisp white masseria and the rich floral palette was breathtaking. Guests arrived in light linens and colourful summer attire, instantly adding to the relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere.
There was laughter, tears and loads of hugs as Beanie and Surma exchanged the most beautiful vows surrounded by family, friends, and the unmistakable warmth of southern Italy.

Beanie and Surma provided me the most amazing ‘vision board’ for their wedding day and they most certainly didn’t disappoint. I had a very good idea as to what lay in store for us at the beautiful Masseria San Michele and it was every bit as stunning as Beanie and Surmas had described to me when we had our pre wedding meetings.
Arched doorways, textured stone walls, hidden courtyards and traditional details provided us with endless opportunities for their artistic wedding portraits. We moved seamlessly through intimate courtyard moments to romantic walks through the gardens.
Masseria San Michele offers such a relaxed atmosphere that we were encouraged to slow down and enjoy the moment; fully absorbing the experience resulting in imagery which felt natural, emotional and deeply personal. This gorgeous pair certainly knew what to do in front of my camera
A celebration full of energy
One of the most memorable parts of the day was the energy. This wasn’t a formal, traditional wedding; it was a celebration filled with movement, music, and emotion from beginning to end.
After dinner and speeches set underneath festoon lighting, the courtyard became an open-air dance floor as one of their closest friends entertained everyone with the most amazing drag performance as Rafaela and then the DJ kept the party going long into the night. Guests danced beneath the stars while candlelight flickered against the ancient stone walls of the masseria.
The combination of vibrant styling, authentic Italian hospitality, and the natural beauty of Puglia created something truly unforgettable.

What an absolutely AMAZING experience it was to travel overseas for this seriously stunning wedding weekend. I loved every second of getting to know this gorgeous pair and I only wish we could do it all over again.
