//2023 ROUND UP// Yet another WONDERFUL wedding season completed and as January is often a little quiet for me I am able to reflect upon last years season of weddings. 2023 was bursting at the seams with more incredible wedding days for me to share along in. March kicked things off at the stunning Town Head Estate in the Lake District and then through to Decemeber I covered many-a-mile following my weddings all around the UK. From big and busy city centre weddings to smaller, more low key local weddings, I have once again had the opportunity to document some incredible wedding day moments.
And ‘moments’ were a real ‘thing’ for me last season and it’s something I will continue to explore as I enter the 2024 wedding season too. I always approach shooting a wedding day with the same goal .. which is to document the day as it really happens; ensuring that no moment is too forced and nothing is too contrived. Shooting wide and shooting close, shooting high and shooting low, I ensure no stone was left unturned. Each and every wedding day scenario was bespoke and individual to those who planned it and so this inevitably offers a huge level of variety in what I am able to deliver to each of my couples. No wedding is ever the same as the last and this aspect of my job is something that I really enjoy exploring.
It’s always quite the challenge to sit down and go through the thousands of images I take and try to condense them into some of my favourite wedding moments for my end of year round up post (all my weddings are my favourite!). This said, below I have compiled some of my more ‘stand out’ shots; the ones that really encapsulate those key wedding day ‘moments’ that I always strive to capture for each and everyone of my couples. So whether it’s an impressive end of night firework shot or a beautiful moment of a grandma showing her grandaughter her wedding ring, a dog leading the way down the confetti aisle or perhaps a page boy photo bombing a romantic moment between the newlyweds .. I’m here for it ALL and you might just be able to spot these kind of moments in my highlights post below.
