The Ashes Exclusive Country House Barn Wedding Venue Staffordshire
Back in early September I headed to The Ashes in Staffordshire for the wedding of Rachael and Tom. After having already spent a day with this lovely pair back in November last year when I shot their Pre Wedding session, I knew that their wedding day was going to be pretty special. And pretty special it was! The weather may have kept us on our toes but that didn’t dampen the spirits (nothing that a few umbrellas couldn’t solve!) I thought at one point that we were going to have to make full use of the alternative footwear Rachael had bought (i.e. pink, sparkly wellies) but the sun came out just when we needed. The Ashes is nestled in some seriously beautiful countryside which provided the perfect backdrop to Rachael and Tom’s awesome wedding day and we made full use of the setting. Rachael and Tom were complete naturals in front of the camera and the smiles and laughter just kept coming. And THAT DRESS (insert heart-eyed emoji here!) Rachael looked completely stunning in her gown and knocked the socks off everyone when she appeared down the aisle.
I have shot at many-a-wedding-venue up and down the country but I have to say that The Ashes is quickly becoming one of my faves! The Ashes offers two rustic barns; The West Barn where Rachael and Tom said their “I Do’s” and then the East Barn where their delicious Wedding Breakfast was served. The party atmosphere flowed during the speeches and once the formalities of the day were all done and dusted there was no holding back. ‘Rugby lads banter’ ensured that things got rowdy and everyone got completely involved on the dance floor. To Rachael and Tom … thanks a mill for having me and I hope you love all your wedding snaps as much as I do. Here’s just a teeny, tiny snippet of what went down ..
