Just a few weeks back I set out on the road, Colchester bound, ready to take part in the super special day of Beth and Tom … and me oh my what a super special day we had! Westwood Park was to set the scene for the day and with it’s apple tree archway, it’s vibrant driveway of rhododendrons and it’s outstanding wisteria wall I knew that there was going to be some serious ‘photography goodness’ going on. For the morning prep, I dashed over to The Angel Inn to spend some time with ‘the girls’ as they got themselves geared up and ready to go for the day ahead. Beth wore a stunning Jenny Packham gown and ditched a veil for a classic head piece instead (also Jenny Packham).

After a beautiful ceremony in the main building, the weather just about held off enough for everyone to enjoy the drinks reception outside on the lawn. Westwood Park also has the added bonus of a wedding marquee tucked away deep within the depths of the gardens so everyone headed down there to indulge in the BBQ a little later on. I love it when there are loads of DIY elements to a wedding and Beth and Tom’s wedding certainly didn’t disappoint. All the flowers and table decorations looked FAB (I think you’ll agree) and the homemade photo booth was an added bonus.

To Beth and Tom, thank you so much for having me and I hope you LOVE this little snippet from your big day as much as I do … there’s plenty more to come!

Two weeks ago I travelled to the exquisite Combermere Abbey  (a hidden gem in Northwest England) to share in the wedding of Nicola and Ian. Combermere Abbey offers a whole host of ‘hot spots’ for some awesome wedding piccies and it is definitely ‘up there’ as one of my favourite wedding venues. Even if it did rain all day long, this fab couple weren’t going to be deterred so off we went to make the most of the high walled gardens and cherry blossom trees. Here are a handful of highlights from what was a truly special day – thank you so much for having me Nic and Ian and enjoy this tiny teaser … there’s LOTS more to come!
