When fellow photographer Becky Joiner first gave me an insight into the vision for the FabWedFest I was more than excited! Wedding fairs are a great way to meet lots of lovely couples and network with like minded creatives BUT this was not going to be just any standard wedding fair … I was to travel to Devon to take part in my first wedding FESTIVAL. And me oh my … what a festival it was too! Hosted in the grounds of Muddifords Court; one high hat tipi was erected, a stripy circus marquee and a white gazebo (where the photographer’s were housed). A cocktail caravan, coffee camper and delicious pizza stall were all wheeled in too.
Alongside me in the Photographer’s gallery tent was of course Becky Joiner (the brains behind the festival), the lovely Laura Power, Aran Jefferies from Latitude Photography and Andy Green from Harrera Images (with his assistant Barney). Karen from the fantabulous World of Moose also joined us on the gallery wall with her colourful creative posters (see images below.)
Even the good old British weather took part in the festival spirit!! The heavens opened and hail set in but we were not deterred. Warm apple cider was on offer from the cocktail caravan and a hog roast was underway to help keep us toasty. Belle Abode provided some warm shelter too in the form of their bell tents. Humble and cosy, they would make the ideal accommodation for any ‘festival’ themed wedding.
Many many thanks to Becky and Helen for inventing the event and pulling it off in such style; it was a real pleasure to be a part of so thank you for having me! I also have to say a special thank you to Ginny and Greg over at Virginia’s Vintage Hire too for the use of her gorgeous furniture.
